The Mid-America All-Indian Museum has a large project on the horizon that will require a lot of fundraising. Fundraising is an area that has historically been a challenge for MAAIM. Our current Board of Trustees recognized that we could use some help in this area. We received a grant for board development and part of the funds were used for training on fundraising.
We chose Charlie Moon for our training. Charlie’s engaging and entertaining presentation style grabbed everyone’s attention and held it until each session was over. It was obvious Charlie had done his homework upfront so he could relate the training specifically to our organization.
Native Americans are known for their storytelling. MAAIM is focused on gathering stories of the American Indian culture so they can be preserved for future generations. Charlie showed us how we can each use our own story as a part of fundraising. Tailoring the material to the American Indian culture demonstrates Charlie’s commitment to his clients.
